MAAC Tournament: Canisius Clobbers Loyola, Md., 88-62 Canisius opened the game with a 10-2 run and never trailed as the Griffs defeated Loyola, Md. 88-62 on Friday in an opening round game of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament. Hodari Mallory scored nine of his 17 points during the opening spurt that saw Canisius build a 15-5 lead with 15:11 left in the first half. Loyola (5-23, 4-14 MAAC) made the score 20-13 with less than 11 minutes left in the half but, following a 3-pointer by Mallory, the deficit stayed in double figures the rest of the game. |
